College of the Desert Women’s Soccer has secured the No. 24 seed in the 2025 CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs and will travel to face No. 9 Chaffey College in the first round on Wednesday, November 19 at 11 a.m. This marks only the second postseason appearance in program history, and the first time COD has reached the playoffs in back-to-back seasons.
Under first-year women’s head coach Manuel “Pato” Hurtado, Desert finished the regular season with a 7-7-6 record overall and 4-3-3 in conference. The Roadrunners placed 4th in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference (IEAC).
COD (7-5-4; 4-1-2) battled through 60 scoreless minutes before finally breaking through, securing a crucial victory to stay firmly in the Playoff hunt with a 1–0 win over the feisty Norco Mustangs (1-13-3; 1-7-1).
The Roadrunners secured a clean sheet against the Mt. San Jacinto Eagles this week, defeating them 1-0. This victory propelled the Roadrunners to the 3rd place position in the conference with a record of 2-0-1.

The College of the Desert women’s soccer team (2–3–1) picked up its first draw of the season, playing the West Los Angeles Wildcats (2–1–3) to a 2–2 tie on the road in Culver City.
